First Lady Barbara Bush believed strongly in the importance of family literacy. Now her radio show Mrs. Bush's Story Time, which featured Mrs. Bush reading cherished children’s stories aloud, has been turned into a weekly podcast.

The new podcast is hosted by her daughter Doro Bush Koch. In addition to Mrs Bush reading stories, listeners can enjoy special guests such as  Winnie the Pooh, Daffy Duck, Elmo, and Grover, and celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Alan Arkin.

The podcast also includes literacy tips from former First Lady Laura Bush and memories about childhood reading experiences shared by bestselling authors Delia Owens, Jesse J. Holland, Susan Orlean, and Eric Motley.
