Morgan Bookmarks: Beasts and Feasts, Part I
Open the pages of NYC's Morgan Library’s phenomenal illuminated manuscripts! This program examines bestiaries, collections of real and imaginary animals, as well as books of hours, which explain seasonal and daily actions. .
Participants explore how the books were created, and examine manuscripts from around the world, including cultures such as the Persian Empire and the Armenian kingdom of Cilicia. This program takes place over two sessions; Part 2 is Tuesday July 21.
