Greenlight Bookstore's Lefferts Garden location and its original Fort Greene (686 Fulton Street) location both hold regular Sunday storytimes for kids, with books read by their authors. Sometimes there's music, too!

Author of I'm Not Too Small and Jeffery's Outer Space Adventure Daniel Stewart returns to Greenlight to share his latest picture book, Look Out Small World. Join Stewart at the bookstore this Sunday for an inspiring story time combatting bullying. Ages 3 to 8.

Children's Musical Story Hour with The Nightingale Fam

The Nightingale Fam returns to Greenlight to perform an eclectic program of family-friendly music based on children's stories including their original adaptations of the classic baseball poem "Casey at the Bat" by Ernest Thayer and Wilhelmina Harper's "The Gunniwolf," preceded by a family singalong.

Staff Story Time

Neighborhood families are invited to join the booksellers of Greenlight for a spring-themed story time. Greenlight staff choose their favorite read-alouds to share with the youngest book lovers and usher in the new season, with great books ranging from classics and award-winners to the best new releases and local favorites. Ages 3 to 8.
