The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest in which kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds. This year's screening is hosted by children's authors James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish) and Newbery Honor winner Rita Williams-Garcia (One Crazy Summer).

We recommend reserving seats in advance. For free events, the library generally overbooks to ensure a full house, and while priority is given to those who have registered in advance, registration does not guarantee admission.

All registered seats are released 15 minutes before start time, and non-registered seats may become available at that time. A standby line forms one hour before the program.
