Arlene Shechet, artist of Full Steam Ahead, has collaborated with Shintaro Okamoto, master ice carver, to bring the apparition of two historical figures back to Madison Square Park in the form of two large-scale ice sculptures.

This afternoon, Okamoto Studio is onsite, live, carving these sculptures, which in the coming days will melt and morph under changing weather conditions, dissolving these figures back into history.
