Shakespeare's Richard II is presented as a 4-part radio play. Director Saheem Ali describes Richard II as a perfect story for an election year, as it chronicles a leader who is pushed out of power and questions his own morality. 

André Holland stars in the title role. The cast also includes Phylicia Rashad, Estelle Parsons and Lupita Nyong’o.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, 2020 is the first time in 58 years The Public Theater is not presenting Free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte Theater in NYC's Central Park. Instead, listeners can tune in on radio in NYC and across the country on WNYC.org. 

Daily at 8pm Eastern, 7pm Central, 5pm Pacific
