Chang Yuchen presents Tree Hole (your secret is safe with me) 树洞（我会保守你的秘密), a performance-based public program in dialogue with Pamela Rosenkranz’s Plinth commission, Old Tree—a 25-foot-tall bright red-and-pink sculpture that animates myriad historical archetypes of the tree of life.

During the performance, Chang Yuchen performs as a "tree hole" adjacent to Old Tree. Visitors are invited to share their secrets with her, which she promises to keep safe. Like a tree, Yuchen will be mostly silent, offering responses such as eye contact or advice only upon request. She understands English and Mandarin but is open to all languages, ensuring confidentiality.
