Morningside Lights returns for its 12th year, illuminating the night in a procession of awe-inspiring handmade lanterns floating through Morningside Park to Columbia's campus. This year, each of the 50+ community-built lanterns pays tribute to a book that inspires, enlightens, and shapes how we see the world.
The free neighborhood tradition includes a week of community arts workshops prior to the procession to create the lanterns.
Daily Lantern-Building Workshops: Saturday, September 23-Friday, September 29
Miller Theatre at Columbia University (116th St. and Broadway)

Illuminated Procession: Saturday, September 30, 8pm.
