Head to Penn Pier to learn the ins and outs of fishing in Jamaica Bay! Participants also learn about fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques, angling ethics, and aquatic ecology. All supplies, including rods and bait are provided.

Each session is limited to 15 fishing rods; families/small groups are encouraged to share a rod.

Session times: 3pm to 3:45pm | 4pm to 4:45pm | 5pm to 5:45pm

Adaptable fishing equipment is available, but limited in supply per session. Specialized equipment is reserved for anybody who may need assistance holding a rod.

Important information: This program takes place at Penn Pier. The pier is approximately 0.5 miles from the Pennsylvania Avenue Parking Lot along a paved path, you will have to walk along Hendrix Creek Road to meet up at the pier for the program, approximately 20 minutes.

Free sport fishing clinics waive the requirement of participants to possess a fishing license or enroll in the Recreational Marine Fishing Registry (during program hours only).
