Mathematician and artist Chaim Goodman-Strauss shows families how to create symmetrical tiling patterns using an ordinary envelope in this 2021 Rosenthal Prize-winning activity. Explore the bigger connection between symmetries and surfaces, all with paper, scissors, and tape.

Limited space is available. Note that masks must be worn at all times inside the Museum and that all visitors ages 5 and up must show acceptable proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. (Note: MoMath does not accept digital images or photocopies of vaccination cards.)
