Furloughed artists of the Met Opera collaborate to produce an outdoor concert: OPEN AIR OPERA: Street Dances, as part of Open Culture 

Performances take place on 75th Street between Broadway and West End and include a morning of short demonstrations of dance and opera music for the public. The afternoon performances by Dancers of the Met feature a collaboration with members of the Met Chorus Artists and the Met Orchestra.

Community Engagagement:

11am - 11:30am : Met Chorus Artists Lecture Demonstration 

12 -12:30pm: Meet Dancer of the Met Ayaka Kamei and learn a dance inspired by the Magic Flute Pointe Birds followed by a Q&A on what its like to dance en pointe at the Metropolitan Opera. 

1- 1:30pm: Outdoor All-Ages Family Dance Class & Dance Party: Adults and children are invited to participate together, with social distance maintained between family groups. The class begins with a simple full-body warm-up, followed by creation of a short, crowd-sourced dance sequence. It all comes together with a guided dance party, practicing the newly created dance sequence.
