Author Cynthia Levinson shares excerpts from her award winning children’s book, The People’s Painter, which explores how Ben Shahn’s childhood sparked his passion for social justice. Discover highlights of the artist’s work in the exhibition Ben Shahn, On Nonconformity with curator Laura Katzman and create a watercolor accordion book inspired by Shahn’s work.
