Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden - History Week Camps
Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden’s Summer History Weeks allow children to travel back in time and explore 19th-century New York City with historic crafts and games, old-fashioned cooking, scavenger hunts, and field trips. Hands-on workshops look at the art, science, technology, music, and theater of the time. Choose individual days or a full two weeks.
If city and state restrictions do not allow for in-person summer camps, History Weeks will go virtual. Participants will receive a box of supplies so that art, craft, and science workshops can proceed as planned. Historic cooking (with commpm ingredients at home), music and theater activities, and historic games will still take place. And whenever groups are permitted again, there will be a special celebration at the Museum for History Weeks participants.
