Chickenshed NYC: Chickenshed Players

Join Chickenshed Players' inclusive theatre classes, age-grouped for kids and teens (ages 6-18) of all abilities and backgrounds. Chickenshed's no-audition approach to creating original work using storytelling, movement, and American Sign Language is like nothing else in NYC. Chickenshed's philosophy fosters inclusion, compassion, and kindness, resulting in a vibrant and unforgettable experience. The semester ends in a performance.

For the fall 2020 semester, Chickenshed Players classes will be held in a secure online space, to ensure everyone's health and safety. The theme for the semester program is "Let Our Voice Be Heard". Featuring Marvin Gaye's iconic song What's Going On, Players will continue their journey, exploring and developing a range of theatrical projects that will include storytelling, music, signing, and movement as its core. Supported, empowered, and encouraged by the teaching artists, Chickenshed Players will be part of an inclusive creative process.
