School of American Ballet - Little Dancers
Little Dancers introduces 4 and 5 year olds to the beautiful movement language of ballet in weekly 45-minutes classes held at the School of American Ballet’s Lincoln Center studios.
Little Dancers is SAB’s only training program for children that does not require an audition. Enrollment for the standalone 14-week Winter (Jan-May) and Fall (Sept-Dec) sessions is first-come, first served. Parents and caregivers may escort children to class and observe from a viewing lounge. Each class features live piano accompaniment.
The School of American Ballet is widely regarded as one of America’s leading ballet schools. It is the official academy of New York City Ballet and is world renowned for the excellence of its classical training as established by the School’s founders—the legendary teacher and choreographer George Balanchine and the visionary arts patron and writer Lincoln Kirstein. Admission to SAB's pre-professional training program for children ages 6 and up is by audition only.
