Jazz at Lincoln Center's WeBop

WeBop is Jazz at Lincoln Center’s award-winning jazz education program for children ages eight months to five years, which invites families to stomp, strut, and swing to the joyous rhythms of jazz. Explore your child's natural ability to improvise and express themselves through fun, interactive classes.

You and your child will explore the unique voices and personalities of each of the instruments in the jazz band. With the help of a new guest artist each week, participants learn about the roles of the piano, drums, trumpet, and many more instruments on their way to building their own WeBop big band—and have plenty of jam sessions along the way.

Classes are structured as a child-adult experience with participation from both and offer a creative outlet for children to explore jazz through movement, songs, storytelling, and play.
