Jazz at Lincoln Center's WeBop Classes

WeBop is Jazz at Lincoln Center’s award-winning, early-childhood jazz education program for little ones and their parents/caregivers. The program strongly believes in children’s natural ability to improvise, and it is committed to exploring their creativity through fun, interactive classes.

This fall, discover the many elements of jazz with WeBop’s “Jazz Basics” term. Over the course of this eight-week term, you and your child will explore core concepts of jazz such as swing, blues, improvisation, and other jazz basics. Together you will develop your imagination, creativity, and musicality while swinging nursery rhymes, singing the blues away, scatting like Ella or improvising like Coltrane, and of course jamming with a live jazz band.

Offerings for the winter term is for 8 months up to 5 years old.

Classes include a specialized music curriculum and engaging activities designed for each age group. Explore the age groups and schedule options on the website.
