Things to Do with New Jersey Kids, April 17-21, 2017

Feathered and furry friends are in the spotlight this week! Hang out with some penguins at Jenkinson’s Aquarium's Penguin Pointers, have a bunny play date at Bergen County Zoo’s Wild and Crafty Bunny Bonanza, or fly over to Great Swamp OEC for Preschool Walk: Feathered Friends. Top off a busy week at Mommy and Me Tea with a Princess, or have a ball at the Somerset Patriots’ opening night.

Monday, April 17

Northern NJ:
Wild and Crafty Bunny Bonanza – Paramus
Have some post-Easter bunny fun at Bergen County Zoo. Kids 4–6 are welcome to meet a real bunny and take part in bunny-themed stories and crafts.

Jersey Shore:
Penguin Pointers at Jenkinson’s Aquarium – Point Pleasant
​Head over to Jenkinson’s Aquarium for penguin play time. Learn all about these feathered creatures up close, then check out all the other aquatic life at the facility. Recommended for ages 5+. Pre-registration is required.

Tuesday, April 18

Northern NJ:
Preschool Walk: Feathered Friends – Chatham
Little ones can explore local birds along the nature trails of Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center. Top off the learning with a craft. Pre-registration is required.

Southern NJ:
Tyke’s Tuesday at ISCCherry Hill
Preschoolers can get a workout every Tuesday at ISC. The excitement includes skate lessons and rental, snacks, and playtime in the Funzone.

Mommy & Me StorytimeMontclair
Head over to Watchung Booksellers every Wednesday for a storytime, geared toward the 2-and-under crowd. The space is limited to 12 participants, so arrive early. FREE

Look, Learn and Write at Morris MuseumMorristown

Somerset Patriots vs. Lancaster Barnstormers Baseball Game – Bridgewater
Baseball season is in full swing! Catch opening night at TD Bank Ballpark, then stick around for fireworks after the game.
