Historic New Bridge Landing

Start off the holiday season at Historic New Bridge Landing as the Bergen County Historical Society celebrates Sinterklass Day. All three 18th-century Jersey-Dutch sandstone houses on the property are open for tours.

Be on the lookout for Sinterklaas and stop to take your photo with him.

At 2 pm in the Campbell-Christie House BCHS Trustee Ariel Woll gives a Hanukkah presentation. She demonstrates how the menorah is lit and explains more about the history, traditions, and customs of the holiday.

Be sure to stop by The Blackhorse Inn to enjoy donuts, hot cider, and other seasonal treats.

Don't forget to visit the society's authentic Jersey Dutch out-kitchen where interpreters make soft waffles using a waffle iron, Dutch banket letters using puff pastry that is filled with almond paste, and other dutch holiday goodies.

Activities for families include pinecone bird feeder and ornament making throughout the afternoon.

Free parking is available on site or take the train to the "New Bridge Landing" station on the Pascack Valley Line.

Dogs are permitted on site on a leash but not in the houses.
