EFM Outside: Ecotrail Adventure
- see all dates
Step into the science of the wild with Ecotrail Adventure - a guided nature walk across a garden, meadow, forest, and stream. The adventure begins in the educational garden, where you’ll explore frog houses, bug hotels, and the importance of creating habitats right in your own backyard.
While the museum building will be closed during this early access experience, guests should arrive at the veranda to begin exploring promptly at 9:00 AM. Be prepared for a bit of a hike. This adventure includes plenty of walking and some moderate hills through the wooded trail, so comfortable shoes and water are a must.
With an expert VEX guide leading the way, guests explore the living systems that thrive in the meadow and forest, learning to identify the bugs, birds, and plants that call them home. The walk concludes at the creek, exploring stream ecology, water quality, and why even the smallest waterways matter.
Open to all ages, but anyone under 16 requires a ticketed adult to join.
