Each spring, the flock of Shetland sheep at the LA Zoo must have their wool sheared to prevent overheating in the warmer months. This Saturday, you can see them get their annual haircut!

Young visitors can learn how to care for and groom goats and sheep at educational activity stations. The Southern California Handweaver's Guild also demonstrate weaving methods for different types of fabrics and fibers, including wool from the sheep at the Zoo.

"Haircut" times:  11am, 12pm, and 1pm
