Monterey Park celebrates its 103rd birthday with four days of fun in Barnes Park.

The Parade features local high school bands, dance groups, community organizations, businesses and VIPs. There is a new route for 2019: starting at Ramona/Newmark and proceeding north to Garvey Ave., West to Chandler Ave., south to Newmark Ave. and East to McPherrin Ave. Parade ends at Barnes Park at the carnival.

The 2019 Grand Marshal is East LA College Football star Antoinette "Toni" Harris, and the 2010 Community Grand Marshal is State Senator Susan Rubio.

The carnival runs throughout the weekend, with four days of rides at Barnes Park, and live entertainment.

  • Thursday - 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday - 5 to 11pm
  • Saturday - noon to 11pm
  • Sunday - 1  to 10 p.m.

On opening night, all rides are $2.
