Update:  This event has been postponed due to rain.

"In light of predicted rain showers in Los Angeles for Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, and the inability to safely move all the hands-on activities into the Museum, we have postponed our annual indoor-outdoor Nature Fest at NHM until a later date."

The Natural History Museum presents a two-day celebration of Nature in the City—culminating in the annual opening of the Butterfly Pavilion!

Plus, Nickelodeon and NHMLA museum scientists make sure guests are well educated in the science of slime.

We share the city of Los Angeles with many interesting animal neighbors, from the Griffith Park mountain lion to the birds in the Nature Gardens.  NHM visitors are invited to explore the wild side of Los Angeles. Guests can meet falcons, owls, rats, and reptiles.Museum scientists are on hand to answer questions about all things city nature.

Festival Highlights Include:

  • Over 35 exhibitor booths in partnership with local organizations
  • Access to scientists and nature experts to answer questions
  • Live animal presentations, stage performances and nature walks
  • Raptor flight demonstrations.
  • Nickelodeon's Virtual Slime Booth
  • Hands on nature crafts and activities
