Families can spend a night at the Natural History Museum and explore the collections with the help of educators. In Halloween Mysteries, a ghastly canine has been hounding the Museum. The junior forensic society is invited to help find the missing T. rex bone and the spirited hound at this Halloween-time sleepover. Armed with forensic science techniques, participants explore the Museum and solve the clues. Activities include: scavenger hunt, flashlight tour of the spider pavilion, secrets and legends ghost tour of the Museum, trick or treat stations and a dance party
Once the dancing is done, guests snuggle in for the night next to the Museum's world-class dioramas for sweet dreams. The slumber party ends at 9am the next morning, after a light breakfast. Museum admission the next day is included.
Though light snacks are served, dinner is not provided, so campers should eat before they arrive. Minimum age is 5; adult supervision is required so parent(s) must spend the night as well.
