If you build it (with LEGO bricks)  they will come (to the California Science Center).

The California Science Center debuts The Art of the Brick, the world’s largest display of LEGO art.

Over one million LEGO bricks are transformed into more than 100 works of art by artist Nathan Sawaya.

The exhibit features Sawaya's original sculptures as well as re-imagined versions of some of the world’s most famous art masterpieces, such as Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Other highlights include a 20-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and a 7-foot tall Easter Island Moai statue.

And because when it comes to LEGO we are all the Special... visitors can do a little brick building of their own. The hands-on The Science of the Brick gallery offers nine LEGO brick building challenges and activities.

The Art of the Brick is a specially ticketed exhibition running through summer 2020.
