Tale as old as time... Disney's live-action adaptation of its animated classic Beauty and the Beast comes to the El Capitan. Emma Watson stars as the the independent young Belle, who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle.
The cast is a who's who of talent, including Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Audra McDonald, Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson, and Kevin Kline. The film stays true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs.
As usual, the El Capitan offers extras that make it one of the best places to see the film in LA. Exclusive experiences at The El Capitan include a preshow with a brand-new Beauty and the Beast overture, arranged by Alan Menken's long-time music director Michael Kosarin in the style and tradition of the great 1950's film overtures, plus an immersive light and projection show featuring a dazzling Swarovski crystal curtain. Additionally, the theatre displays costumes, props and set dressing used in the production of the film.
Moviegoers can opt for a Ghirardelli Sip and See package ($27) which includes the VIP ticket package as well as tea and biscotti before or after the movie .

is rated PG and has a run time of 2 hours and 9 minutes.
Daily showtimes are 10:45am, 3pm, 7pm and 10:30pm.
Tiny Tot screenings are at 10:45am on the Tuesdays of the run.
Parking rates at the Hollywood & Highland Center are $2 for up to four hours with validation from El Capitan Theatre.
