If you want to celebrate the boysenberry, Knott's is the berry best place. And after last year's festival had to be canceled, the return of the boysenberry is definitely a thing to celebrate.
Knott’s Berry Farm is the birthplace of the boysenberry. Each spring, Knott’s celebrates the flavorful berry and its historic roots during the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival with unique food and berry fine products. The food festival features more than 75 one-of-a-kind boysenberry inspired dishes, drinks, and more, plus the Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, and loads of take-home treats. Enjoy boysenberry BBQ with boysenberry elote, washed down with boysenberry beer and followed with boysenberry churros. It's all possible.
This year's festival is structured differently to accommodate social distancing. The event has been reconceived as a tasting festival; each ticket includes a tasting card with five items for adults and three for kids. Parking is free.
The Knott's Boysenberry Festival runs March 5 - May 2 this year—a longer run to accommodate the limited attendance allowed each day. Presale for passholders is already underway; tickets for the general public go on sale February 16 and are likely to sell out—especially over spring break weeks.
Note that no rides will be open during the festival; the theme park itself remains closed due to COVID-19. A face covering is required at all times except while dining at a table or bench, or when inside the designated RelaxZone. In the RelaxZone, guests may remove face coverings, provided social distancing of six feet is maintained between parties.
