Families visiting the Skirball are treated to free screenings of favorite movies on select Thursdays this holiday season. This year's films feature resourceful young girls going on adventures.
Based on an Irish legend, Song of the Sea (PG) tells the story of the last seal-child and her brother as they save the world of magic and discover secrets of their past.
Drawn to the ocean, Moana (PG) convinces the mighty demigod Maui to join her mission to save her people and help her become a wayfinder like her ancestors.
From the legendary director Hayao Miyazaki comes Kiki’s Delivery Service (G), the story of a resourceful young witch who moves to a new town with her chatty black cat and uses her broom-flying ability to start a business.
Screenings are at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These screenings are free, as is admission to the Skirball on Thursdays!
