Families can work together in a day of service, putting together school supply bundles for children in need.

Assistance League of Los Angeles is having a free family-friendly event, sponsored by Barry Schreiber Farmers Insurance Agency. The non-profit is putting together school supply bundles for children served by its Operation School Bell, Foster Children’s Resource Center, and Preschool Learning Center programs. 

Volunteers of all ages can create customized cards and bookmarks at the event to accompany the donations.Also needed is help with sorting the supplies into packages.

At the event, the award-winning Nine O’Clock Players performers put on a brief show. Light refreshments are provided.

Those unable to make it to the event can contribute supplies from the wish list.  Donations are accepted before July 7 at the main office at 826 Cole Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90038. (Call first: 323.469.1973.

On the day of the event, donations are accepted on-site.

  • Gift Cards to stores like Target, Walmart, Amazon, Office Depot, Staples, Dollar Tree, Oriental Trading Company or Lakeshore Learning Center, etc.
