UPDATE:  Beach Streets University has been postponed.

"Due to COVID-19, Long Beach Health Officer, Dr. Anissa Davis, signed a declaration that prohibits all large-scale events in the city. Beach Streets University on Saturday, March 21st is postponed. A new date is to be determined."

Long Beach's latest Open Streets event explores the University area.  Thoroughfares are temporarily closed to automobile traffic to allow walking, bicycling, and socializing on city streets.

Participants of all ages can enjoy family-friendly entertainment at festival hubs along the route, including The Pyramid, Whaley Park, and two hubs along Spring St ("West " and "Extreme"). There is also entertainment along the route.

The route runs along Atherton St., Bellflower Blvd., Los Coyotes Diagonal, and Spring St.
