Battleship Iowa Memorial Day Remembrance
Battleship IOWA hosts a Memorial Day Remembrance in honor of those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our Nation.
An opening remembrance ceremony is held at 10:15am.
The San Pedro Ballet performs a patriotic dance performance. Other family fun at the free pierside festival includes face painting, arts and crafts activities in the Kids’ Zone, live music with patriotic songs by local rock band U.S. 99, and a game booth from AM 870 The Answer.
Food trucks are on site;San Pedro Brewing offers beer tastings.
The pierside festival is free. Regular Battleship IOWA tour admission rates apply Free self-guided tour for all veterans, reservists, retired, and active military (with valid ID).
Guests who purchase a tour ticket to Battleship IOWA throughout the day are invited to place an American Flag on the fence (dockside) in memory of fallen service members.
