The K Line Fest
You can take the K Train!
The first segment of the K Line opens to the public at noon on Friday, October 7, and Metro is celebrating with free rides and a free festival.
The celebration at Leimert Park Plaza Station includes food, live performances by local artists, giveaways, and more.
The Friday stage program highlights artists:
- SHINE Muwasi
- Lula Washington Dance Theatre
- Pan African Arktet
- Dwight Trible
- Bananas Network: Alpha tha Alien, Rhys Langston, Linafornia and VerBs
- Kamau Daáood
The entire Metro bus, rail and bike system is free from Friday through Sunday, October 9.
The K Line will serve the communities of West Adams, Jefferson Park, Baldwin Hills, Leimert Park, Hyde Park, Inglewood, Westchester and more.
The K Line’s first segment to open - between Expo/Crenshaw Station and Westchester/Veterans Station - serves the Crenshaw Corridor, Inglewood and Westchester.
