Before sending your teen out on the road, send them to the garage! The Petersen's Teen Auto 101 is a free half day class that teaches the basics about car repair and maintenance.

The class features a mixture of classroom teaching and hands-on experience led by trained mechanics in the Museum's mechanic shop. Students learn about basic maintenance and how their car runs. Topics include the basics of safety, tool recognition, basic diagnosis of simple problems, how to change a tire, and how to change the oil.

Guardians may accompany minors but can not participate in the workshop, and are free to explore the museum but may not leave the museum during the workshop. Admission not included with workshop.

This is a free Petersen Education program for students ages 14-19.
