Opening Weekend: Gacha & Catch Pop Up Store
- see all dates
There's a new game in town! Gacha & Catch opens on 3rd Street Promenade with two types of Japanese-style arcade prize games: Gacha - also known as capsule machines, and UFO Catchers (aka claw machines).
The website has an offer for two free tokens.
Gacha is a modern-day take on the gumball machine with the fun of a blind pack. The player is guaranteed a prize, a random selection from a series of 4 or more variants. Prizes include small figurines, keychains, charms and the like. Gacha games are typically between 3 and 4 tokens.
The UFO Catchers are claw machines. They only cost one token, but you are not guaranteed a prize. UFO Catcher prizes are mostly plushes and larger figurines.
Each offers a selection of Japanese collectibles, many from popular anime and pop culture franchises that you'll recognize, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Frieren, Hatsune Miku, Demon Slayer, and Jujutsu Kaisen, as well as other collectibles with eclectic themes such as cats with laser eyes, birds in regal robes, and sleeping squid.
Opening weekend special: on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23 guests can win exclusive prizes including tokens usable for UFO Catcher and Gacha capsule toy machines, original stickers and more.
