National Park Service hosts an event to restore a beautiful riparian area at Paramount Ranch by planting hundreds of live plants grown from locally collected seeds and helping to rebuild the creek habitat that has disappeared from the site.

The goal of this restoration is to expand important riparian* habitat and return native cover to areas that burned in the Woolsey Fire.

This activity is appropriate for ages 5 and up. Masks are required when working within 6ft of others. Participants should bring water, sunscreen and a sun hat. Wear hiking attire, closed toe shoes and pants and long-sleeved shirt are recommended. Gloves and tools will be provided.

Preregistration required. (Friday Registration/ Saturday Registration) This event is appropriate for ages 5 and up.

*riparian (adjective): relating to wetlands adjacent to rivers and streams. I looked it up so you don't have to!
