The Culver City Book Festival highlights the work of local authors, publishers, journals, and literary nonprofits.

In addition to tables exhibiting the work of local presses, there event includes panels on a variety of topics including:

  • Poet Laureates Luis J. Rodriguez, Lynne Thompson and Brian Sonia-Wallace; and Culver City Artist Laureate Katy Krantz
  • Publishers of Color including El Martillo Press, World Stage Press, Libro Abierto Press, Shabda Press, and Chicanxs sin fronteras
  • The current state of romance literature convened by The Ripped Bodice.
  • Creative activities for all ages including Zine Making

Between panels there are poetry readings, including a block from contributors to the Dear Culver City collection curated by Culver City Artist Laureate Katy Krantz.
