10th Annual I Matter-Girls Empowerment Conference
Girls with dreams become women with vision.
The 10th Annual I Matter-Girls Empowerment Conference inspires teen girls at this free event, with powerful speakers, interactive sessions, and live music.
Girls ages 12-18 can connect, learn, and be inspired by women innovators, educators, and trailblazers. The conference features workshops, panels, and keynote speakers.
Workshops cover a wide range of topics, including Positive and Healthy Relationships,Career Exploration, Women in STEM, Girls in Sports, and more. The event schedule has more details.
New this year: The Well-Being Village, and the return of the Resource Fair Activation, where girls can engage in hands-on self care activities such as Candle Making, Essential Oil Blending, and Mindfulness & Meditation.
The Well-Being Village and Resource Fair features community and department partners who offer engaging activities and resources that promote well-being, creativity, and community connection.
Registration is free and required. Space is limited.
Transportation is only provided from select sites on a first come, first served basis. (see webpage for details).
Parents and guardian are welcome to join with their children, but parents, guardians, and adult chaperones will have limited access to the workshops and other experiences at 2024 GEC. All workshops, experiences, resources, and event space/seating are reserved for registered GEC youth participants. There is free parking in Parking Structure 3-D1
