Virtual Art at Sands Point Preserve
- see all dates
Each week children will reimagine this masterpiece, “The Magpie” by French painter Claude Monet.
The younger artists, led by Lisa Cusano, will virtually explore painting, clay sculpting and collage, inspired by nature’s abundant resources. Each student will receive their own box of supplies for the season, and they will collect natural items to create original works of art.
In Sandrine Gold's classes, children view the natural world through the lenses of well-known artists from around the world who have been inspired by nature. The classes are virtual and will use items that can easily be found at home or in the garden. The artwork produced this winter will then make up the “Magpie at the Preserve” collection.
