The Chai Center’s family Sukkot event will feature a feast of pizza and an edge-of-your-seat, hands-on science show. The festival of Sukkot is a joyous Jewish holiday and is celebrated by building a specially-decorated sukkah or “hut.” This represents the temporary structures that Israelites lived in during the 40 years of travel through the wilderness after the exodus from Egypt. Dr. Shnitzel’s exciting and educational mad science workshops, in which he uses slime, toilet paper and leaf blowers among his many tools, have been fascinating children and their families for the past decade. #IAmTheChaiCenter
