Explore a jewel at the south end of the Long Pond Greenbelt—Sagg Swamp Preserve. A one-mile trail winds through lush woodlands, swampland, and a stream. Museum educator Paul King III invites families to peek under logs for a variety of organisms that may be hiding in the swamp.

Please note that, as mandated by the latest State Executive Order regarding COVID-19 safety precautions, the number of participants for outdoor nature walks is limited. SOFO will at all times follow stringent six-feet distancing separation protocols required by the Department of Health for the safety of participants and environmental educators. Masks and gloves are provided for all attendees.

Advance reservations are required for all events. To register for this walk, which is limited to 25 people, please email info@sofo.org. Spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and your reservation will be confirmed by email.
