Long Beach International Film Festival

The 11th annual Long Beach International Film Festival is back in person and taking the South Shore's ‘city by the sea’ by storm from July 27 - 30. The festival features an action-packed line up of 30 independent and studio films from local filmmakers and from around the globe, red carpet premieres, filmmaker receptions, Q&A’s, musical performances, elegant dinners, and crowd favorite - “Shorts on the Beach” - where hundreds of festival goers sit with their feet in the sand watching live musical performances until the sun sets followed by a series of the best short films from around the world. While the festival is considered family friendly, organizers recommend ages 12 and over attend.. Reserve your spot online and bring a chair to watch the stars under the stars on a the beach.
Schedule
- Wednesday, July 27: Opening night starts at 6pm at the Regal Lybrook, 321 Merrick Road in Lynbrook
- Thursday, July 28: Shorts Block 1 at the Long Beach at 12pm at the Long Beach Library, 111 W Park Ave. 5-courses inspired by short films and paired with wine at the Allegria Hotel, 80 W Broadway. $149 fee.
- Friday, July 29: Films at 3:30pm at the Long Beach Library, 111 W Park Ave. 6pm and 8pm at the Regal Lybrook, 321 Merrick Road. 8:45pm on the beachfront at the Allegria Hotel, 80 W Broadway.
- Saturday, July 30: Live music begins at 7pm and short film viewing begins at 8:45pm beachfront at the Allegria Hotel, 80 W Broadway. Please bring blankets and chairs.
