First Day Hike at Hallock State Park Preserve

Sat Jan 1, 2022
12:00pm to 2:00pm ET
Hallock State Park Preserve

Families are welcome to attend this New Year's Day event, which starts with a short presentation from the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society about local marine life and the dangers they face in Long Island waters from humans.

The group will then take a one-mile hike (sandy and inclined grades) to and along the Hallock State Park Preserve beachfront on Long Island Sound to check for cold-stunned sea turtles and to pick up beach trash blown in by the winter storms.

Refreshments will be available. View more information about the park here
