It's Easter Weekend, and celebrations abound around the Island. Take the kids on an egg hunt (find even more here)--or even a dinosaur-egg hunt--an Easter Parade or a Spring Festival. Happy Easter and Happy Passover!

Saturday, April 7

Spring Egg Hunt
Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery

Free with paid admission
Kids of all ages are invited to the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery for an egg hunt. Bring your own basket and collect eggs filled with both treats for kids and treats for the fish! Call 516-692-6768 for information.

Children $3, adults $4
Bring three hard-boiled eggs to decorate using techniques from near and far. An egg hunt will be held after egg decorating. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling the Environmental Office at 631-581-1072.

8th Annual Penguin Egg Hunt & Family Brunch

Egg Hunt: 10am–1pm (Included in Aquarium admission)

After learning interesting dinosaur facts, junior paleontologists will go outside to hunt for their very own "dinosaur eggs" (with special surprises inside!), followed by a dinosaur movie at 1pm. Preregistration is required; call 516-571-8710.

Easter Parade and Egg Hunt

Be a part of the parade that starts at noon on Main Street in front of Theatre Three. Easter egg hunt to follow on the Great Lawn at Harborfront Park. Egg hunts for ages 2-5 and  6-8 only. For more information, call the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce at 631-473-1414.
