The long-loved Roxey Ballet presents an afternoon of Children’s Classic Stories over Mother’s Day weekend. Audiences can enjoy classic stories told by the Roxey Ballet including the Pied Piper of Hamelin and Carnival of the Animals.
Mother's Day Wine Trail Weekend (Princeton, NJ)
Celebrate Mother's Day at Terhune Orchards with an afternoon of wine tasting including free tastings for moms and special samplings from the bakery. The whole family is welcome to this event - visit with the barnyard animals and grab a bite to eat from the farm store.

The charming Cora Hartshorn Arboretum is celebrating Arbor Day with its annual "Ar-B-Que". Many events are free, such as face painting, scavenger hunts, bee presentation by Hilltop Honey and cupcake decorating, but tickets are required for Famous Dave's Barbeque and the Raptor Presentation.
Hooray for May! (Bedminster, NJ)
This springtime celebration at the Center for Contemporary Art invites families to come together for a fun and interactive day of making art. Kids and their parents can express their inner Picasso through a variety of hands-on art activities, including projects to give for Mother's Day such as 'Bead Butterflies' and printmaking cards. Rounding out the afternoon will be family-friendly guided gallery tours of the center's current exhibits and a community art project.
Touch-a-Truck Family Festival (Haddonfield, NJ)
If you've got a truck lover in the house, this one's for you! Kids can climb on all different kinds of vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, school buses, dump trucks and bucket trucks. Additional activities (for an extra charge) include a moon bounce, face-painting, pottery painting, crafts and yummy eats.
Seashore Scientist (Long Branch, NJ)
Kids can dive into oceanography through interactive discussions and hands-on experiments during this monthly program at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. This Saturday, kids can break out the magnifying glasses as they learn about microscopic munchies.
Cinco de Mayo: A Musical Tribute (North Plainfield, NJ)
It's all about Mexico during this Cinco de Mayo celebration at the North Plainfield Memorial Library. Stop by for music, rhythms, history and culture plus a family sing-along where volunteers play maracas and get a chance to wear an authentic Mexican costume.

Take mom to relax at the Sayen Botanical Gardens and enjoy the beauitful display of over 250,000 flowering bulbs, dogwoods, azaleas and rhododendron. Visitors can tour the landscaped walking paths, fountains, bridges, lakes, gazebos and snap photos in front of the scenery. The event will also feature crafters, food, music and entertainment.
