Long Island Kids' Activities December 14 & 15: Shop For A Cause, Holiday Cookie Baking, Max & Ruby At NYCB Theatre

This weekend, get some seasonal shopping done at the Holiday Boutique in Oakdale, and at Shop For A Cause in Massapequa. Feeling more crafty? Bake and decorate cookies at Oh My Girls, create a gingerbread house at the Children's Museum of the East End, and design a beautiful holiday wreath at the Suffolk County Farm. Two great shows hit the stage. There's a performance of Mixed Nuts in Sag Harbor, and Max & Ruby In The Nutcracker Suite in Westbury. Holiday Cooking, Baking, & Decorating Workshop - Syosset
Make delicious cookies, chock full of natural ingredients at Oh My Girls. Enjoy pizza and do it yourself smoothies after the workshop.

Gingerbread House Workshops - Sag Harbor
Decorate a gingerbread house with an assortment of treats. Four sessions of this workshop take place today at the Children's Museum of the East End.

ArtVentures Week 13: Let It Snow - Setauket
Get crafty at Gallery North. Using mixed media, kids create their own snowflake felt banner.

Holiday Parade Of Lights - Center Moriches
Main Street is filled with holiday cheer. Participating in this parade are fire departments, ambulance companies, and other community groups. The Center Moriches Post Office is on hand to collect letters to Santa. The parade culminates with a visit from Santa.

Holiday Boutique - Oakdale
Today's the day to get some holiday shopping done. Head to the CM Performing Arts Center and browse through a variety of items from vendors including Eden Rocks Handmade Jewelry, The Garden Angel, and Rosie's Bake Shop. Santa is on hand to pose for pictures.

Holiday Wreath Making - Yaphank
Head to the Suffolk County Farm & Education Center to make a seasonal wreath out of harvested greens, pinecones, festive decorations, and ribbon.

Shop For A Cause - Massapequa
This holiday shopping fair at the American Legion of Massapequa benefits the Nassau/Suffolk Chapter of the Autism Society of America. Featuring over 40 vendors selling merchandise for adults and kids.

Max & Ruby In The Nutcracker Suite - Westbury
Check out this holiday performance at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, which features the characters from the popular Nick Jr. television show.
