Best Things To Do in Houston in March with Kids: St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break, and Easter Egg Hunts
As Houston continues to recover from the effects of our freak winter storm, March arrives to round out a full year of dealing with COVID-19. While many things remain closed, many businesses are beginning to open back up, too! There are plenty of outdoor activities that allow you to get out of the house while still staying socially distant, and with the turn in the weather being outdoors is becoming more pleasant again. We recommend a family camping trip or a fishing expedition—or you could do both with a trip to the hill country, camping at Pedernales Falls State Park. You could even check out some local wineries while there. (If that's too far of a trip, we have a great selection of campsites closer to Houston to choose from as well!)
For close-to-home fun, we are really excited to see Prehistoric Beasts debut at the Houston Zoo this month, as well as Family BINGO Night in The Woodlands, and the Easter Egg-stravaganza at Blessington Farms. Or stay in and watch one of this month's big movie releases.
And there are a few ways you can volunteer your help to those still recovering from recent events.
We would love if you subscribed to our free newsletter to stay in the loop with everything happening, or head to our event calendar for an up-to-date look at both in-person and virtual events. On the online front, Poppins@Home is your go-to resource for locating online fun for kids.
While we try to promote safe activities that occur outdoors or with social distancing guidelines in place, keep your family and others safe by wearing a mask and maintaining an appropriate distance. If you arrive at an event that appears too crowded, try using the “nearby” search feature on our event calendar to find something else to do.
