Just as quickly as the 2017 holiday season ended, the holidays are officially beginning in 2018! Our first long weekend of the year recognizes Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and we have a host of celebratory events to commemorate the occasion.
If you're looking to do something fun with the kids on their Monday off school (or at any time, really!) we highly recommend checking out the newly redone Weiss Energy Hall at the Houston Museum of Natural Science; it's an exhibit that is sure to keep everyone in the family engaged and entertained.
Itching to try out some new restaurants? Galveston Restaurant Week is happening in full force, and we narrowed down the best places to try when you have the kiddos in tow. And if you're making your way down to the Island anyway, you might want to check out Moody Gardens or the Galveston Railroad Museum while you're there. Both are guaranteed to offer a day full of fun for the family.
For a complete list everything fun happening in and around the city this weekend (and every day!), check out our event calendar and our ever popular January GoList. And don't forget to sign up for our weekly newsletter to read about fun things to do each weekend in Houston.
Have an event you want to share? We would love to add it to our calendar! You can submit your own events and we'll get them posted!
