Age: 5+

Location:
Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center

Lend a helping hand this Earth Day at Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center by assisting in the clean up of a drainage channel that has been clogged with litter and vegetation overgrowth ever since Hurricane Harvey.

Tasks include collecting litter, trimming back limbs (that trapped litter in the flood waters), and removing non-native/invasive plant species.

Participants must wear closed-toed shoes and bring their own gloves. Some tools are available to loan out, but you are able to bring your own (like loppers, pruning saws, or shovels), as well.

Long pants, a hat, and a refillable water bottle are also recommended.

Volunteers under 16 yrs. old must have a parent/guardian volunteer alongside them.
