Weekend Fun for Westchester Kids: Steampunk, Doktor Kaboom Submitted by Susan Miele on Wed, 03/07/2018 - 4:00pm Though St. Patrick’s Day is practically a month-long event here in Westchester, things start to really heat up this weekend in Westchester and the Hudson Valley. While some of the holiday parades take place next weekend, many step off this Saturday and Sunday, including one of the largest in the state—the Annual Northern Westchester-Putnam St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Revelers can also kick up the heels (or watch others do the same) at the foot- stomping Irish dance production Rhythm in the Night. An exciting event ahead is Steampunk Sunday, a mash-up of Victorian Era Bartitsu and tea dueling with contemporary entertainment, costumes and, yes, attitude. Maple sugaring is still in peak season—as are the events that celebrate it, while family performances include Doktor Kaboom! Live Wire: The Electricity Tour and the family film Mary and the Witch's Flower. Read on for further details and additional options—then head to our Event Calendar.
