Learn how to identify a maple tree, and discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way we gather sap over the centuries.
The group checks Tenafly Nature Center's tapped tree and boils down its sap to make fresh, warm maple syrup. All guests can sample the sweet treat.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rain or shine. Dress warmly; the program takes place indoors and outdoors. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
Sessions are at 11:30am and 1pm.
